What did you study? BA in Biology from Pomona College, MA in Asian Studies from University of California, Berkeley
What is your teaching experience? I have been at AEG since 2012. As the Director of University Admissions for the AEG Saigon office, I work closely with students who are interested in learning how an international education might be a good fit for them. I am also on the academic committee for Vietnam’s Asia Leadership Trek. Before coming to AEG, I taught and did research internationally for many years.
Why are you in Vietnam? I enjoy living and working in a dynamic and energetic country like Vietnam. I especially enjoy working with students who teach me new slang and help me to understand the world in new and challenging ways.
What do you enjoy about teaching? I think a good education and motivated and talented teachers have the ability to transform people’s lives and the way they see themselves vis-à-vis the world around them.
What are your interests that make you stand out? I started playing the violin when I was 3 years old. I enjoy reading long-form journalism and creative non-fiction. I am interested in the changing roles of technology in different markets, economies, and cultures. I enjoy long walks on the beach.
