Teachers at AEG are responsible for developing, delivering and administrating the programs and curriculums we offer to students. A teacher’s primary job is facilitating positive, friendly, successful and results-oriented classes and to do everything necessary to make our students successful, not only in terms of academics, but also soft-skills, confidence and a spirit of life-long learning. Teachers are responsible for ensuring that classes are prepared ahead-of-time, run in a way that accomplishes all of the academic goals set out in the curriculum, and administratively handled in a way that will more than satisfy students and parents alike. Teachers may also be asked to participate in outreach programs, community service and other development activities. Teachers are encouraged to pursue further education and learning to enhance their skills inside and outside the classroom.

1. Teaching:

  • Planning and preparing lessons
  • Teaching, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to him/her.
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the progress and attainment of students.
  • Marking homework and tests. 
  • Keeping attendance and work records, keeping to deadlines for reports, tests and timesheets.
  • Adhere to the dress code and maintain high standards of professional behavior, such as punctuality. 
  • Responsible for Lesson Records and Administration (as defined by the Induction Pack and direction of the Academic Director and other Managers)

 2. Other activities

  • Participating in meetings arranged for any of the purposes above.
  • Participating in extra-curricular activities organized that take place during normal teaching hours
  • Participating in the annual Teacher Satisfaction Survey

3. Further training and development:

  • Attending workshops as outlined in the teachers' handbook.
  • Reviewing from time to time his/her methods of teaching.
  • Participating in arrangements for his/her further training and professional development. 

4. Appraisal: 

  • Participating in arrangements for the appraisal of his/her performance.

 5. Educational methods

  • Advising and co-operating with the Director and Teachers on the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment.

6. Staff meetings

  • Participating in meetings which relate to the curriculum or the administration or organisation of The Employer.

7. Examinations

  • Participating in arrangements for preparing students for examinations.

 8. Miscellaneous

  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by The Director. 

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Nationality: British, American, Australian, Canadian.
  • Bachelor Degree or higher.
  • Certificate in teaching.
